What an incredible idea! I admit I haven’t yet read the book, but how can animals read anything or understand words that are read to them?

In both the Introduction and the preamble to Part Six (the actual Animals’ Bible) I pointed out that our Bible tells us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. (Proverbs 31:8) Similarly, The Animals’ Bible obliges us to read for those who cannot read for themselves. This is a book for human beings. If they read it with an open mind – whether their tradition is religious or secular - their attitudes towards animals should undergo a profound change. They will become better people. And the animals will benefit. And that was my purpose.
